The drone of dreams
Drones or unmanned aircrafts seem to be everywhere from vineyards, to battlefields, to the back alleys of cities. The possibilities for drone usage are enormous. One of the most interesting ways to to take advantage of this technology is photography. Photographers were able to capture beautiful birds-eye views of many famous landmarks and cities until authorities around the world decided to make those spots off limits to drones, though there was a brief period of 18 months where photographers could legally shoot their aerial shots. Now one needs special permission to fly a drone above the city and these permissions are hard to come by.
Barcelona – Сity of Dreams
Photographer Sergey Fedkevich exploited the possibilities of the drone to capture the architectural delights in Barcelona. His comment:”I had a fantastic time adventuring around Barcelona’s winding streets making this film. There are only a few other cities in the world where it is possible to walk from one spectacular location to another.” He was lucky enough to obtain a license from the police for drone filming, which was also approved by the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Spain. There were restrictions on height and location and he wasn’t allowed to shoot near airports. Hope you’ll like this kind of “Koyaanisqatsi” of the drone age too.
